The University of Notre Dame seeks a Producer for Digital Initiatives and Innovative Scholarly Expression in Notre Dame, Indiana.Duties:
The Producer for Digital Initiatives & Innovative Scholarly Expression is a key member of the Office of the Provost’s Digital initiatives
team responsible for advancing innovation in Digital scholarship and new forms of scholarly expression.
In this role, the Producer works closely
as part of a faculty team to design and implement new forms of Digital scholarly expression of value to the University.
The Producer will conduct original research into new methodologies and forms of scholarship and scholarly expression and communicate that research to faculty and
leadership within the University. The Producer will curate and manage Digital platforms and systems to explore and sustain scholarly expression.
The Producer will conduct individual work to support engaged scholarship, connecting academic expertise to question and concerns of broad
social or cultural relevance. The Producer will work with a very high degree of autonomy in advancing innovative Digital projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Execute projects and initiatives related to new and emerging forms of scholarly expression
related to new and emerging forms of scholarship and scholarly expression; Conduct original research, prepare scholarship and public
communications related to new and emerging forms of scholarship and scholarly expression; Research and implement platforms, systems,
and other emerging forms of scholarship and scholarly expression; Present research and related work product to faculty and leadership in
order to promote innovative forms and methods of scholarship and scholarly expression.
Requirements: Ph.D. in Digital humanities, Digital media, learning design, higher education administration, or related.
At least 3 years’ experience in original scholarly research and professional activity related to emerging forms and methods for scholarly expression; At least 3
years’ experience in higher education.
This position requires three years of experience working in an area of higher education related to new
and emerging forms of scholarship and scholarly communication.
It is expected that a qualified candidate will demonstrate at least three years
of experience conducting original research and writing, curating systems and platforms for innovative scholarship and scholarly expression
and communicating research findings to professional audiences within higher education.
This position requires the ability to work within a
collaborative research team and within a fastpaced
academic environment. Experience may be obtained with a Master’s degree.
